Conference Report

"I thought the information I learned was sensational"

The Institute of Organisational Coaching - Summer Training Conference was conducted from Friday 30th January to Sunday 1st February, at Guygirri Country Retreat, Razorback, NSW

The capacity audience included coaches with a wide spectrum of experience: from those with many years of Organisational Coaching history, to those wanting to learn how to become an Organisational Coach. Participants came from many parts of Australia and interest was received even from overseas.

This IOC Training Conference was recognised by the International Coach Federation with participants being eligible for “Continuing Coach Education Units” for every moment of their attendance.

While the Agenda was packed and the sessions intense (often running into overtime), there was still some time for “play”. Outdoor training specialists Higher Ground arranged an afternoon of water activities that not only got everyone wet (See Photos) but linked into the training agenda and the Science of Coaching. Thus learning was also experiential.

Participants rated the Training Conference 3-1/2 out of 4

Participant responses to “What I liked best?” included:

 “The practicality of the sessions”
 “Coach input from experience”
 “Excellent sessions”
 “IOC Systems in general”
 “Research presented to back up coaching”
 “Planning of the event”
 “Team building activities.”
 “I do have serious aspirations of becoming a coach and would love to fast track that"
